This week's non-Bob torrent of note is a line recording of the Byrds at the Fillmore East on June 9, 1971, including their relatively hard-to-find, full-length acoustic arrangement of "Mr Tambourine Man" (whose opening riff sounds a bit like it's "tangled up" with a Blood On The Tracks song). And I'd pick this one even if I hadn't been at the concert!

DIME has added several nice Stacey Earle/Mark Stuart shows in the last few days; I highlight this one mostly because it finishes with a nifty performance of "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere."

DIME also has a mostly uncirculating recording of Emmylou Harris' sets at the Bottom Line on May 22, 1975, backed by an incarnation of her Hot Band featuring James Burton on guitar. Burton, as many of you should recall, was Dylan's first choice (after Mike Bloomfield declined) to front his 1965 tour band. (It predates Dylan's return to Manhattan by a few days, so completists won't need this on the off chance that a club-hopping Bob could be heard in the audience.)

Finally, although it's not a BT download, everybody should check out this video of the great Irish-American folk-hop band covering "Like A Rolling Stone" at a 2005 Irish festival in Herkimer. In several important ways, it's a more muscular performance of the 1978 arrangement than Dylan himself ever pulled off.
