New torrents - week ending April 19, 2009

The parade of torrents from the current tour continues. The week's most noteworthy upload also turns out to be its most disappointing; the highly touted "Mighty Mockingbird" Isle of Wight release from Hollow Horn turned out to be nothing more than a minmally touched-up clone of a widely circulating fan project. But there are some unusually nice uploads of non-Dylan recordings to balance this out -- a Jimmy (20/20 vision) soundboard from 1957, Doug Sahm with Flaco Jimenez in New Orleans, some late 60s Jefferson Airplane line recordings, and a surprising pairing of Slash (sideman on Under The Red Sky) and Mason Ruffner (sideman on Oh Mercy) -- plus recent shows from Marianne Faithfull, Bruce Springsteen, Oregon, Jackson Browne, and the North Mississippi All-Stars.
