New torrents - week ending May 10, 2009

The spring European tour has wrapped up, with only four shows not yet circulating. Aside from the Liverpool and Dublin shows, high points include a full recording of the August 18, 1997 Wallingford show, complete with BR-549 and Ani DiFranco sets; as well as further installments of the LK 1978 compilation. In non-Dylan recordings, last Sunday's birthday concert for Pete Seeger is probably the high point, followed by vintage video from Dave Brubeck, the Rolling Stones, and Carole King plus recent shows by Leonard Cohen and Neil Young. Finally, singer-songwriter-guitarist Stephen Bruton died on Saturday; a fine recording of a 2006 performance was uploaded in his memory.
