New torrents - week ending June 14, 2009

It looked like a solid but unexciting week for Dylan torrents, until the last-minute appearance of the April 12 Amsterdam video. Also a run of nice shows from the end of the fall 2002 US tour, and several nice recordings from the taper using the alias "bigfoot," who sadly died a few days ago after a long illness. In the nonDylan section, a nice bigfoot recording of a Del McCoury show, including McCoury's cover of "1952 Vincent Black Lightning," recent shows from Charlie Sexton's Arc Angels, David Bromberg, Steve Earle, and Lucinda Williams; an unexpected pairing of Derek Trucks and McCoy Tyner, a previously uncirculating Bill Monroe soundboard, a pair of line recordings from Peter Himmelman (neither featuring his father-in-law), and an extensive video from the recent tribute/birthday party for Pete Seeger.
