I just received Berlin '03 (Tambourine Man Records version), and it contains a stunning "Desolation Row". This is a great recording, too.

WALLINGFORD 17/8/03
not a great tour, but this show is a standout. hard rain is magestic and kicks arse over the overratede new orleans version.
born in time and simple twist were also played.. but its definately worth getting just for hard rain, alone

I was at Birmingham 2003, have listened to the field recording and really can't imagine it being the best of anything...

Bootboy. The last time Bob played guitar, if you want to be pedantic, was Barcelona this July. In fact he only strummed a few bars during the opening of Watchtower with his back to the audience. He then seem to realise he had to sing so he took the guitar off and returned to the keyboard. Has he done that at any other show this year?

Must mention New York City / Hammerstein 20 August - just acquired a much better version of this (Cedar 2) and it's quite a show - also some interesting guest guitarists, Andy York and Chuck Loeb The NYC with Nils Lofgren 12th August also pretty good, Love Sick being one standout song in particular

I'd have to go along with Joe. Louisville 30.4.03 was a standout. The European leg I havent had proper time to digest yet, but the three London theatre gigs (and indeed that paris show) are all very nice LOUISVILLE WAS INCREDIBLE
