He's been at it 40 years and has tailored his talents to no one and is not taking any advice from anyone but himself now. I say we enjoy him while he is still around to play for us, be grateful he hasn't retired to some estate on a private island and thank him for giving a younger generation the opportunity to see him live. All this talk about "he should take a LONG break" at his age, or "play fewer shows" when these may be the last shows his health will permit him to perform - creepy talk by folks ungrateful for all he has given to his public and is giving still. This talk will shut up soon when he finally retires and there will be no more "average" shows to female dog about. People, you don't know what you've got til it's gone..........
