Border Beneath the Sun question

Recently downloaded this 1978 bootleg from sharing the groove and finally getting around to listening to it.
Anyway, on the last track of Disc 1, #16 Gates of Eden, there is some noise for most of the last half the track. It doesn't really affect the sound it just comes and goes, kinda like some sort of static. It is not a noise I've heard on a boot before so I'm just wondering if this is part of the boot or not.

This flaw is inherent to the source tape that this boot was made from and definitely is present on the original silvers that this torrent was created from.
